We were getting tired of going to conference after conference and issues being talked about superficially and not really addressing how said issues impact us women of color. That's when we said "Fuck it, we will make our own and have real talk." We felt that we women of color carry a lot of things on our shoulders and have countless scars. So, our vision for this event is to acknowledge them, start to heal from them, and harness that strength for action.Â
