ABOUT Womanist Words
Audre Lorde wrote “I have come to believe over and over again that what is most important to me must be spoken, made verbal and shared, even at the risk of having it bruised or misunderstood.”
Womanist Words seeks to color feminism one conversation at a time by giving space to the voices of women whose words are often not included, overlooked, or otherwise marginalized. This space is a platform for women of color, cis and transgender women, those who identify as women, and gender non-confirming individuals to speak our truth.
